Electroless Nickel Plating is a special coating that does not require electric current, power supply or anodes for its application. The alloy deposition occurs by means of the chemical or autocatalytic reaction between the dissolved agents (Nickel Sulphate + Sodium Hypophosphite) in aqueous solution; when the part is immersed in this solution after appropriate pre-treatment, all of its surfaces are coated with totally uniform nickel-phosphorous alloy layers, independent of its geometric format.
solicitar orçamentoWith thermal treatment above 600º, the coating forms a film of greenish nickel oxide and an interdiffusion layer between the deposited nickel layer and the part’s substrate. This interdiffusion layer seals the passing pores, thus increasing the resistance to corrosion.

This hampers the adhesion of substances to the treated surfaces, facilitating the cleaning and improving factors such as hygiene, quality and machine maintenance time, especially in chemical, pharmaceutical and food industries.

This combination adds to the chemical nickel’s natural hardness a low attrition coefficient (0.03), affording a great reduction of wear and an extraordinary resistance to excoriations and gripping, as well as easy disassembling and fluidity of the polymers. Apart from this, Nickel-Lub affords high resistance to abrasion and corrosion. The coating does not alter the characteristics of the base material, and has total adherence to the substrate, being able to be applied on all ferrous or non-ferrous materials.
